#SUPERIOR DRUMMER 2.0 MIXING SOFTWARE#
The software works very good and its stability is breath taking and quality of the sounds is pro. General configuration and setup is straight forward, pretty amateur and easy to follow along. The book provided with the program was quite good, well detailed, all the information that was relevant to the product itself was well explained there.

There weren't any kind of compatibility issues, the program works on any platform either Windows XP, Windows Seven or MAC OS. I have been using it for months now and so far I am satisfied. But all in all, it does have some good sounds and kits that have been very useful for me. If it was a little cheaper I would think a lot more highly of it. Superior Drummer 2.0 doesn’t stick out to me nor do I think it is better than other drum sample based programs. I have used other plug ins that are virtually the same as this one. I do love using this program for drum patterns as well because there are some really good ones and I also love the fills that it has with it. I have a U control MIDI controller that I use to play the drum samples with through my DAW and it works great. Paying this amount of money I expected a lot more from ToonTrack. I also feel like the price of Superior Drummer 2.0 is a little too expensive. The sounds are pretty good the quality of them is amazing I just wish it would have come with some more versatile kits. I can even combine all of my sound libraries from Superior and EZDrummer together no matter which version I have. It runs pretty much the same in all applications and does not use too much CPU. I have used Superior Drummer 2.0 in Logic, FL Studio, Ableton Live and Cubase. It can also be used on a Mac too! All of the drum samples are recorded at high quality studios by Pat Thrall and Neil Dorfsman who are well known in this field.

I have also used it on a Windows 7 and Windows Vista computer and it ran just as fine on those. It ran very well and never crashed or gave me any sorts of glitches or issues.

Post attachments only available when logged in Superior Drummer 2 Default Kit Trigger Notes In your Midi drum track VSTi slot you will need to load MiniHost VSTi IL Minihost Modular 32.dll or IL Minihost Modular 64.dll, in MiniHost load VST Mapper then connect SD after that so it's getting the re-mapped midi from the Biab Midi Drum track. Save the drum track then re-map it with MidiFileMapper. Something else to note is I mostly use Jazz or Latin styles, I think this might have something to do with it since the latin kits often have percussion instruments (clave, guirjo, etc) in addition to standard kit drums.Įdited by watermelon ( 03/01/17 10:36 AM) I've tried exporting the MIDI drum tracks and dropping them into a SD track directly but this has the same results as loading SD directly in BIAB. This works without a hitch except I can't get the drum kit mapping right either way. I use BIAB to generate rhythm section and piano tracks which I then import into Sonar X3 and record my guitars on top.

I've found other suggestions to make a custom patch map but this has proven easier said than done. I've searched on PG's site and I found a few threads on this before, but none of them address this particular issue. I have multiple drumsets available in SD and I've tried them all but the MIDI mappings are always messed up. I've been able to add SD as a plugin in BIAB but the mappings are really off- midi tracks that should be played on the hi-hat are sent to SD on the bass drum, etc. Has anyone had any success using Superior Drummer as a plugin for BIAB?
